Each year we try really hard to find something different for our accessory of the year award. The problem is the majority of new accessory products aren’t really that innovative. Sure there are some great quality and cool products, most of which are mostly cosmetic upgrades. Last year we gave the award to S.T. Dupont for their new Biggy lighter that features a five jet flat or blade flame. This unique design has become a favorite at Smokin Tabacco given its softer toasting approach. This year, it is going to be a back to back win for S.T. Dupont with the Defi Windproof lighter.
When it comes to accessories, few names make me think of being ahead of the curve. In the fall, S.T. Dupont began shipping a new lighter in the Defi line called the Defi Windproof. S.T. Dupont has a track record of introducing new technologies and fresh ideas to the accessory market outside of just cosmetic changes.
A huge congratulations to S.T. Dupont and Coles of London for their back-to-back wins here for Accessory of the Year. Who knows – maybe they will be the first company to earn a three-peat award in 2026.
