Shooting at Cigars International Leaves Staff Disturbed

July 31, 2020 By Matthew Tabacco

With tensions already high this year between COVID-19, protests and riots, employees at Cigars International are rightfully disturbed after an incident yesterday morning. A Pennsylvania man is on the run after shooting at an employee of the cigar store; he was confronted for not following their policy of wearing a face mask when entering the store.

Reports say that Adam Zaborowski entered the cigar retailer on Friday morning, and after an argument with staff over not wearing a face covering, he grabbed two cigars and left without paying for them. As a staff member followed him outside, Zaborowski allegedly took a hand gun out of his truck and fired one round in the and air and two at the store clerk before driving off in a blue Dodge pick up truck. Luckily, no one was injured in the shooting. His current whereabouts are unknown and there is a warrant out for his arrest. Zaborowski will be charged with attempted homicide, aggravated assault, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, robbery, and possessing a firearm without a license.

It is clear that this pandemic can and will bring out the worst in some people. These are very frustrating times, but everyone must do their best to look out for each other and themselves. Not only do we have to be on guard for contracting this dangerous virus, but we also have to be on guard for those who will resort to violence in response to it.
