Just in time for the end of 2022, La Flor Dominicana who has already had a big year has shipped their 2022 TAA release called “The Golden Salomon”. This cigar is reserved only for retailers who belong to the Tobacconist Association of America (TAA). Jonathan M. Carney, Vice-President of Sales for LFD sits on the Advisory Board for the Tobacconist Association of America as well.
The Golden Salomon comes in two formats, a Maduro and a Natural both measuring 7 x 64, the same size as LFD’s Salomon Unico cigars. This blend, like the three before it, all use the same 50th blend however this will be the last year the 50th blend will be used. LFD has said that the rest of the blend is undisclosed, but it has previously used Corojo 99 binders (LFD has previously stated this tobacco is only used for the Golden Blend) as well as Nicaraguan sun grown wrapper for the natural and Connecticut broadleaf for the maduro.
The 2023 LFD TAA will feature a completely new concept and blend, but LFD has declined to say what that will be. The MSRP for the 2022 TAA Golden Blend is $35 and will be limited to 700 boxes of maduro and 400 boxes of natural.
