Earlier this year and at the 2023 PCA Trade Show and Convention in Las Vegas, Nelson Alfonso, owner of Selected Tobacco S.A. announced he would be releasing a special 10-year aged Atabey Dioses which you can read about here.
Nelson uses a five-year post roll aging process on the Atabey brand, however he decided to let some of the Dioses age a little longer and released them at 10 years this year. Now, it would appear that there is another vitola in Atabey getting the same treatment.
Industrial Cigar Co., home of the World’s First Atabey Private Lounge, has announced the exclusive release of the Atabey Misticos, aged for a full decade post-roll. The launch is limited to 300 boxes globally and is scheduled for Wednesday, August 9th on IndustrialCigars.com and in-lounge. The MSRP on this cigar is higher than its standard five-year counterpart at $44 each. Each box includes an exclusive Industrial Cigar Co. seal, put on at the factory, signifying the age of these cigars and their exclusivity to ICC.
I would be curious to know how many other cigars Nelson Alfonso has left in the aging room to continue their rest and when we might see them, my feeling is we havent seen the last of these. Time will tell.
