Gurkha to Show Ghost Connecticut and Grand Age II at TPE 2023

February 21, 2023 By Matthew Tabacco

Gurkha Cigar Group International announces two new products set to be revealed at the TPE (Total Product Expo) this week.

Gurkha Executives are heading out to Las Vegas to showcase their portfolio including two new projects at the Total Product Expo 2023. The TPE is an industry wide B2B Tradeshow where cigar companies are able to meet with their existing and potential customers under one roof during the week.  Exhibiting Wednesday, February 22-Friday, February 24, 2023, Gurkha Cigars will showcase their entire portfolio and two new additional projects that they’ve been working on: Gurkha Ghost Connecticut and Grand Age II.

The Gurkha Ghost Connecticut is an extension to the existing Ghost line.  “We feel that the Gurkha Ghost Connecticut will be the perfect addition to our portfolio of Gurkha Ghost,” says Juan Lopez, Vice President of Sales.  “The original Ghost, housed in a black and silver box, has a Brazilian Arapiraca wrapper and is on the medium to full side.  The Gurkha Ghost Gold, which comes in a gold box, is more medium body with the Ecuadorian Habano wrapper.  The Gurkha Ghost Connecticut is going to be a bit mild to medium with an Ecuadorian Connecticut Wrapper. We feel that this is the perfect way to complete the Ghost family bringing a Ghost for all palates!”

The Ghost Connecticut will be available in three popular sizes: Shadow (5×52), Asura (6×54), and Exorcist (6×60) and retail for $8.00-$10.50 a piece.  Adorned in a cream-colored box, the Gurkha Ghost Connecticut boasts an Ecuadorian Connecticut Wrapper, Mexican binder and fillers from the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, and the USA.  Gurkha Ghost Connecticut is made in the same factory as the rest of the Ghost family, PDR in the Dominican Republic. The cigar is produced and set to ship after the orders are placed at the Total Product Expo. This is the first time this brand extension will be available, and it is set to showcase to consumers for the first time at The Great Smoke in West Palm Beach next month.

The Grand Age II is the second cigar set to be released at the Total Product Expo this week.  “The Grand Age II is a fun project we’ve been developing over the past few months,” comments Jim Colucci, President and CEO of Gurkha Cigars.  “We discovered an allotment of Grand Age boxes in our factories and decided we wanted to do something special with them, bringing a new spin on a favorite Gurkha packaging.  We developed an insert to house three different toro size cigars in one master box.  We’re partnering with a new factory and we just loved the blend so we decided to showcase it in this manner and bring it to consumers.”

The Grand Age II is a treasure-chest style wooden box housing 60 cigars: 20 Connecticut Wrapped, 20 Habano Wrapped, and 20 Maduro Wrapped.  Each cigar is a 6×54 toro size and retails for $6.50.  Full flavored and medium bodied, the Grand Age II is sure to be a favorite in any wrapper.  The cigar will ship to retailers in the Spring of 2023 and debuts for the first time at the TPE 2023.
