Gurkha Cigar Group has begun shipping the Year of Snake. The Year of the Snake is one of the twelve-year cycle of animal to appear in the Chinese zodiac related to the Chinese lunar calendar. The Year of the Snake signifies characteristics of wisdom, intuition, and mysterious personalities.
“The Year of Dragon collaboration was a huge hit with our retail partners in the USA,” commented Jim Colucci. “We were so pleased with the products that were made for us, that we decided to ask our manufacturing partners to take on another project honoring the Year of Snake.”
Gurkha says the Year of Snake is a collaboration with Ernesto Perez-Carrillo, Oscar Valladares, and Oliva Cigar Co. Housed in ten count humidors, these cigars adorn a decorative snake curled into a figure 8.

The Gurkha Year of Snake by Ernesto Perez-Carrillo is a housed in a ten count, blue humidor. The cigar is made in the Dominican Republic by E.P. Carrillo and has a beautiful Ecuadorian Corojo wrapper. It is a 6 1/2 x 52 and carries a $19.95 MSRP. The Gurkha Year of Snake by Oscar Valladares is a housed in a ten count, red humidor. The cigar is made in the Honduras by Oscar Valladares and has a beautiful Habano wrapper. It is a 6 x 52 and carries a $19.95 MSRP. The Gurkha Year of Snake by Oliva Cigar Co. is a housed in a 10 count, black humidor. The cigar is made in the Nicaragua by Oliva Cigar Co. and has a beautiful Mexican San Andres wrapper. It is a 6 5/8 x 52 and carries a $19.95 MSRP.
Additionally, Gurkha Cigars is releasing an exquisite collector’s edition green domed humidor adorning the same figure eight snake on top. Gurkha will only release 500 numbered humidors that carry an MSRP of $1,200.00. There are only 750 of each Year of Snake ten count boxes available and 500 humidors.
