German Engineered Cigars is asking its retailers, customers and fans to vote on a vitola for their next cigar blend. To that end, German Engineered Cigars created The Lineup, a three-cigar pack containing the various cigar formats to choose from. The pack has been delivered to retailers and is currently on sale for an MSRP of $30 USD. A list of cooperating stores can be found on their website, https://germanengineeredcigars.com
The voting period began Sunday, August 28, and will end at midnight on Friday, September 30, 2022. On October 1, 2022, we will announce both the new brand and the elected format.
German Engineered Cigars will be announcing a new blend and brand by November 2022. It will start with two formats: a Robusto 50 x 5″, and a second format completely determined by their retailers and customers.
For the Lineup, German Engineered Cigars will use their AUTONOM brand. The AUTONOM Lineup packs will contain three cigars of the new blend, each in a different cigar format. GEC produce the one that receives the most votes. Voting is open to everyone and is unrelated to purchasing a pack, although packs will be highly sought for.
After the voting, German Engineered Cigars will announce the new brand with all formats, and immediately ship the Robustos. GEC will then start producing the format the majority selected, and ship it in February 2023, after TPE.
The blend was created by Claudio Sgroi; the long filler cigars are hand-rolled for us by Tabacalera Tambor in Nicaragua:
