Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust Announces All PCA Releases

April 8, 2025 By Matthew Tabacco

So far, we have reported on a few of the releases that Steve Saka, owner of Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust has either teased or outright shared details on publicly, mostly via social media. However, last night Steve sent out a press release formally announcing his entire lineup.

We had already reported on the Sin Compromiso Word of Saka cigar that Saka had said was going to be part of a sampler. We now know that sampler is the DTT “Essentials” Sampler. DTT “Deep Cuts” Sampler will feature cigars of different sizes but is a set of cigars that Steve Saka himself smokes regularly – in other words, if you want to know what cigars are Steve’s favorite – here you go. The Essentials sampler is an eleven count box that will be limited in production. The sampler has an MSRP of $225.00 per box and is expected in August.

The Sobremesa Solita “Red” was announced last year and has already begun shipping to select retailers. This cigar will now be available for all retailers to order but will not be making a debut at the show. Solita Red is a limited production 6.25 x 46 that is packaged in boxes of thirteen. MSRP is $18.66 per cigar and $242.60 per box. Solita Red is manufactured at Joya de Nicaragua, S.A. New orders are expected to ship in April 2024.

Steve says the blend is a stronger varietal of the original seven tobacco core Solita blend featuring a dark rosado Grade 1 Ecuador Habano capa, a San Andres Negro capote and a combination of four Nicaraguan and a Seedleaf Pennsylvanian tripas.

After the debut of Bronzeback last year at PCA 2024, DTT is set to release the Umbagog Bronzeback Robusto, a 5″ x 52 version that will also come in a ten count bundle and is set for regular production. The
MSRP is $10.75 per cigar, although the bundle itself is $107.50. Bronzeback robusto is manufactured at Nicaraguan America Cigars, S.A and will ship to store in May.

Red Meat Lovers Club is also getting an addition with the “Fritanga” – a 6″ x 52 prensado regular production release packaged in ten-count boxes. These will have an MSRP of $16.25 per cigar and a box price of $162.50. The Fritanga is manufactured at Nicaraguan America Cigars, S.A.and will ship June. Steve says that the Fritanga is a “beefier, more spicy iteration of their Red Meat Lovers liga.”

Mi Querida will see an addition to it’s lineup as well. The new Gorila Gordo is a 6 x 60 parejo regular production that Steve says is a “big, beautiful and rich broadleaf 6 x 60 flavor monster with a 109-style bullet head.” Gorila Gordo has an MSRP of $14.95 per cigar and $299.00 per box. These will be manufactured at Nicaraguan America Cigars, S.A. and will hit retailers in August.

The first item will be a sampler collection. It will be a collection of seven cigars, all measuring 6″ x 52. DTT says this will be a collection of seven toros that represent each of their core line blends. This will be a regular production and will have an MSRP of $115.00 per box. In the press release, Steve said shipping is expected around August 2025.

Perhaps one of the most investing and maybe most anticipated releases from DTT is the 10th Jubilee – a celebration of the company’s tenth anniversary in business. 10th jubilee will be a 5.63 x 48, a completely new blend and what Steve calls “a ground up recipe featuring our very first national release of an Ecuador Sumatran capa.”

10th Jubilee will be packaged in boxes of thirteen cigars and have an MSRP of $18.95 per cigar. This will be a limited production and it is expected, like most of their releases, to sell out fast. 10th Jubilee is manufactured at Nicaraguan America Cigars, S.A. and will ship in October.

In addition to these seven products, DTT will also be showcasing the 2025 Year of the Duque, the StillWell Star Holiday Y2025 and the next cigar to be released as part of its Archive Series, the Todos Las Dias Double Wide.

“2025 marks the tenth year since we started our small family cigar business,” states Steve Saka, Founder and Co- Owner. “It hasn’t been easy; in fact, I would argue I couldn’t have picked a worse time to do so. Within a year we faced crippling FDA regulations, followed by civil unrest in Nicaragua in 2018, to then be plunged into a worldwide pandemic, followed by hyper-inflation and now a looming 18% import tariff. Yet we have not only remained standing, but we have also managed to become arguably the hottest cigar company in our industry. So, I wanted to celebrate and commemorate our success by doing what we do best: creating a deluge of ‘bangers’ for our Select Purveyors to share with their customers to enjoy.”

“We are beyond thankful for the blessings graciously afforded us by our Patrons,” says Saka. “I want 2025 to be our best year ever and to serve as a prelude to the unlimited future before us.”
