Sin Compromiso Word of Saka Debuting at PCA 2025

March 26, 2025 By Matthew Tabacco

Update*: I previously reported that these would come in boxes of thirteen like the rest of the Sin Compromiso line on an assumption. However, William Cooper at Cigar-Coop.com corrected me after Steve made a comment during one of his recent shows where Steve admitted these will ONLY be part of a sampler set.

It is that time of the year again, the 2025 Premium Cigar Association trade show is upon us. Some brands have general show reputations that are bigger than others. One of the biggest is Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust, who always has a very good line up of new offerings at the show. Among the list of new items slated to be unveiled and released during the show this year is the new Sin Compromiso Word of Saka. Unless I missed something, I am curious to know where the naming of this cigar came from, possibly from the fact that Steve always has so much to say? He is a wealth of knowledge if I am being fair.

Steve Saka, founder of Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust, is known for his teases on social media. This cigar was no exception. Saka posted a photo of this in its full view yesterday but did not share much information about it. We will update the article when we know more. What Steve did say was that there would be only 5,000 cigars released this year and “will expand in 2026 as leaf allows.”

This will be shipped in boxes of thirteen cigars so that equates to about 384 boxes total if you do simple math. Like the rest of the Sin Compromiso line, it will be manufactured at Tabacos Joya de Nicaragua S.A. Steve also made a comment on Facebook stating there would be no samples of these given out at PCA – trick or treaters beware.

Sin Compromiso was first introduced in 2018 and is Spanish for “without compromise.” There are currently close to ten different sizes in the line now, including Paladin de Saka and last year’s No. 4.
