Drew Estate Cancels 2020 Barn Smoker Dates

May 21, 2020 By Matthew Tabacco

Drew Estate formally announced today that they would be canceling all 2020 Barn Smoker Events due to…you guessed it, the COVID-19 pandemic. Refunds to everyone who purchased tickets will be sent out immediately. However, Drew Estate plans to try and do something else for ticket holders and everyone else. They will be holding two-hour “virtual herfs’ via Facebook for anyone to join.

This is something that doesn’t surprise me as just about everyone across all industries are using virtual video platforms to connect with each other. This especially seems popular in the cigar community. Drew Estate also announced that anyone who purchased a ticket is eligible to receive the event swag for free, provided they give their mailing address. Events all over the country seem to be falling off the radar one by one due to the pandemic. I think I can speak for everyone when I say we cannot wait for this to end, so that we can return to a somewhat normal day to day living. I’m sure that 2020 is going to be the year that never happened. Can it be 2021 already?

For anyone interested in the virtual events, the dates are as follows:

  • Pennsylvania Barn Smoker — July 25

  • Connecticut Barn Smoker — August 8

  • Kentucky Barn Smoker — September 26

  • Louisiana Barn Smoker — October 4

  • Florida Barn Smoker — November 14

The actual times on these days are TBD. For more information, please visit the Drew Estate website.
