Davidoff Announces Closure of Flagship Stores in Houston and New York

May 6, 2025 By Matthew Tabacco

The “Davidoff of Geneva – since 1911” stores in River Oaks, Houston and Brookfield Place in New York City, will close in September this year. This is the Third major store closing announcement this year after the announcement of the closure of Casa Fuente in Las Vegas this Fall.

In a press release, Davidoff said the company has made the strategic decision to not renew the select leases to focus on the company’s growth strategy of optimizing its global retail presence on key flagship locations and digital and personalized shopping experiences. These two were also corporate owned stores and with their closure, there only remain two others with both of them being in New York City. The stores in Brooklyn, Las Vegas and Hollywood, Florida are all franchises.

“Both our River Oaks and Brookfield Place stores have been a treasured location for our valued clients. While we have made a difficult decision to close these two locations, we remain dedicated to serving our customers at our 6th Avenue, NYC location, and our newly renovated Madison Avenue, NYC store which will reopen in Summer this year. We also welcome our customers to shop with us online at DavidoffGeneva.com. We sincerely appreciate the dedication and contributions of the River Oaks and Brookfield teams and extend our heartfelt gratitude to our patrons for their loyalty and support,” says
Lana Fraser Head of Marketing and Retail at Davidoff of Geneva USA.

Both stores will remain open and operating during regular business hours until September 2025.
