Today, Arturo Fuente announced that this year’s “Rare Pink’ selection will not be shipping in October due to impacts from the COVID-19 pandemic and an inability to get much needed supplies. We had the opportunity to see this years releases at the 2021 PCA Trade Show. The new sizes dubbed “Queen of Hearts” (3 3/4 x 54) and “Sophisticated Hooker” (7 1/4 x 53), are still expected to come “very soon”.
“As we enter the month of October, Arturo Fuente and the entire Fuente family continue to be committed to the fight against breast cancer, as well as to our ongoing support of local brick and mortar stores. Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic has affected commerce and trade all over the world, including the ability to obtain much needed supplies, which has pushed back this year’s special release of Rare Pinks. But don’t worry – the Pinks will indeed be coming very soon!” says Carlito Fuente Jr in an email to Smokin Tabacco.
Fuente is also releasing the cigars to brick and mortar retailers in support of their Support Local initiative in a way to help stores impacted by the pandemic to have inventory to sell instead of completely missing out on a release.
The following Casa Fuente sizes will be available which include cigars from the core line and the Series 5 line:
Casa Fuente Belicoso Fino (5 5/8 x 52)
Casa Fuente Churchill (7 1/4 x 48)
Casa Fuente Corona Gorda (5 5/8 x 46)
Casa Fuente Double Corona (7 5/8 x 49)
Casa Fuente Double Robusto (5 3/4 x 52)

Casa Fuente 808 Natural (6 x 52)
If you aren’t familiar with Casa Fuente, it is a retail store and lounge at the Forum Shops inside the Caesars Palace Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. It is run and operated by Robert Levin of Ashton and Holts cigars as well as Michael and Robert Frey. These cigars have never been sold outside the store but on very few occasions been available at Fuente supported fundraisers. They can be just as highly sought after as other Fuente cigars such as Fuente Fuente OpusX and some of the more elusive Don Carlos releases. Visitors of Casa Fuente are often met with buying limits on the cigars due to the demand and frequently line up outside the store before opening to get a chance to grab something special. Also sold at Casa Fuente are cigars from Arturo Fuente, Ashton, JC Newman and Prometheus.
There is no official timeline on exactly when the Rare Pinks will ship, but they will still be limited when they do. Arturo Fuente donates $13 from every box sold to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Stay tuned for more updates on when the Rare Pinks will actually arrive.
