Today, United Cigars announces that the Gold Star brand is being unearthed as a line extension in the United Cigars growing portfolio.
First introduced in 1995, the Gold Star line laid dormant until the release of the Limited-Edition Gold Star in 2024 that helped raise over $30,000 for the Navy Seal Gold Star Program. Now releasing as an ongoing
production, the line is keeping the original iconic gold star as its symbol. With a facelift in style and blending to highlight United Cigars commitment to tradition, creating an unforgettable smoking experience. Gold Star is a symbol of honor, pride and accomplishment, offering an unforgettable experience; a mezcla of tradition and present day.
Gold Star will be available in three popular sizes: Robusto (5 x 52), Toro (6 x 54) and Gordo (6 ½ x 60).
Each size blended with filler made up of Dominican Ligeros, Criollo ’98, Corojo ‘98, with a generous
helping of Connecticut Broadleaf, delivering a rich, bold flavor profile. Sumatra binder holds the blend
together, while a stunning Ecuador Habano 2000 Intermedio wrapper, sourced from the famed Quevedo
region, completes the package.
Oliver Nivaud of United Cigars shared his excitement, “Gold Star pays our homage to the classic Dominican tradition while pushing the boundaries of flavor complexity. Every draw is a tribute to the passion and skill from the Ventura family factory, our time together on this blend was driven by a true friendship.”
Gold Star will be packaged in boxes of twenty cigars with the iconic Gold Star logo present on top, the line will retail for: Robusto $12.00, Toro $13.00 and Gordo $14.00. Release of the Gold Star is expected for March 2025 with select retailers and then have a larger release at this year’s PCA in New Orleans. Gold Star is more than a cigar; it’s an invitation to slow down, savor, and appreciate the art of fine tobacco. Gold Star is handcrafted at the Tabacalera William Ventura Cigar Factory in the Dominican Republic.
