TPE 2024 Tradeshow Recap

Another year, another cigar trade show in the books. TPE, also known as the Total Product Expo, hosted another successful event at the Las Vegas Convention Center between January 31st and February 2nd. While this trade show spanned across two levels of the massive convention hall, I would consider it a ‘light’ turnout on the cigar side compared to previous years due to the PCA Tradeshow being moved to an earlier time slot in March, instead of July as in most recent years. Most retailers decided to forgo spending the money to show up in Vegas twice roughly eight weeks apart; a completely understandable move. While myself and my husband Matthew decided to skip attending, we had our other Smokin’ Tabacco power couple, Kevin and Barbara Acuff, on the scene completing show coverage.

Below is an overview of the cigar companies that did attend that we were able to cover, as well as information on any new releases they may have had at the show and a link if we did video coverage with them. Please note, the following cigars were formally known as Deadwood Tobacco Co. Chasing the Dragon and debuted at TPE 2023. Asylum assisted with bringing this cigar to market, however, there was a lawsuit against Deadwood Tobacco Co. as they were in violation of using the name since they previously sold the rights to Drew Estate. The solution was that they rebranded as the Asylum 867. The rebranding was shown at PCA 2023, however they are just shipping out now.
