Many longtime fans of the Fuente Fuente OpusX brand probably know about the Forbidden X Purple Rain from Prometheus as part of the Heaven and Earth series. This cigar uses an undisclosed blend in a maduro offering using the same 8-8-8 torpedo lonsdale vitola as the others of the same name from Arturo Fuente such as Fuente Fuente OpusX and Arturo Fuente Anjeo. However, a new size has been added the Purple Rain nomenclature by way of the new Forbidden X Purple Rain Diademas.
The new Fuente Fuente OpusX Serie “Heaven and Earth” Purple Rain Diademas Selection—Diademas 54, 56, and 60—will be released toward the end of 2026. In addition, the 2026 Limited Edition OpusX Purple Rain lighters, cutters, and humidors will be released in the summer and fall. The 2026 Limited Edition OpusX Purple Rain “Big Purple Dream” humidors were initially released in December 2025, with a second batch scheduled for December 2026.
