The OpusX Society is a project founded by Manny Iriarte who is part of product designs at Arturo Fuente. He has exhibited a few times now over the last few years. The booth is a moderate size but not super big. It is also perhaps the best dressed booth of its size on the entire floor, across from Micallef Cigars who basically had no design to their booth at all and was around the same size. Maybe this helped OXS stand out even more? Regardless, the blue and yellow primary colors really pop and make you feel that sense of style that Iriarte has brought to the Fuente brands for the last several years.
Last year at PCA, he debuted the first OpusX Society cigar which launch at the end of last year. This year he has unveiled his next cigar with two accessories. The cigar Iriarte unveiled is called Gold & Bullet. He says this comes from the the thought of you are always chasing the gold which represents success and you are always outrunning the bullet which is failure. If the bullet gets you, it’s all over. A very interesting analogy that I feel almost anyone should be able to relate to.

The blend for Episodio Uno will be different from the first Opus X Society cigar, offering a distinctive new profile. Featuring a unique wrapper and an all-new size – 6 3/4 x 50, however the blend details have not been disclosed. Manny says this project is a limited edition of 1,500 boxes numbered worldwide. It is expected to be released this year.

In addition, the company announced a collaboration with French luxury accessories brand Elie Bleu. They will be unveiling a limited-edition lacquer finish lighter and cutter set. Featuring the J12-shaped lighter paired with a EBC5 V-Cutter, this collection is available in two finishes: Gold and Silver. Each set is strictly limited to only 155 individually numbered pieces.
