Oliva Announces Year of the Dragon for China Duty-Free

Box of Oliva Year of the Dragon Cigars

Oliva Cigars announced this week the release of a limited-edition cigar box with ten Churchill cigars in celebration of the Chinese New Year – the Oliva Year of the Dragon. This exquisite collection of Churchill cigars has been specially crafted to mark the occasion and will be available exclusively at China Duty Free, catering to aficionados seeking a unique and culturally significant smoking experience.

Inspired by the symbolism of the Dragon in Chinese culture, the Oliva Year of the Dragon is a testament to the craftsmanship that Oliva Cigars is known for. Each box features a beautiful dragon design, paying homage to the majestic creature and the spirit of the Chinese New Year. The cigars themselves are meticulously hand-rolled in the Oliva factory in Esteli using the finest tobaccos from Nicaragua and a Habano (Sun Grown) wrapper from Ecuador, ensuring a smooth and flavorful smoking experience that aficionados have come to expect from Oliva Cigars.

Speaking about the exclusive release, Thomas Gryson, Export Manager of Oliva Cigars, said, “We are thrilled to introduce the Oliva Year of the Dragon Churchill Cigar in celebration of the Chinese New Year in cooperation with CDF. This limited-edition collection is a true embodiment of our dedication to quality and craftsmanship. We have carefully curated this offering to provide aficionados with a unique and culturally significant cigar experience, making it a must-have for collectors and enthusiasts alike.”

The Oliva Year of the Dragon will be available exclusively at China Duty Free, offering travelers and connoisseurs a rare opportunity to indulge in the rich flavors and exceptional quality that Oliva Cigars is renowned for. Recently, Gurkha Cigar Group filled a lawsuit against Davidoff for releasing a Year of the Dragon cigar in the US. The only question I would have is whether this cigar was originally intended for release in the US but was later pulled because of this news, out of fear of also being targeted over use of the name. With only a limited number of boxes produced, this exclusive collection is expected to sell out quickly. The cigars will retail at $350 per box.
