Lure Cigars Open Tackle Box with cigars

Lure Cigars was created by Lou Cross III to honor the memory of his late father, Lou Cross Jr. He was a lifelong outdoorsman, avid fisherman, and a cigar enthusiast. Shortly after celebrating his 90th birthday, Lou Jr. passed away in June of 2023 surrounded by family and friends. One of the last and fondest memories shared with him was enjoying a cigar and telling stories. Lure Cigars brings people together through ‘Tackle & Tobacco’ and encourages cigar enthusiasts to ‘Smoke Great Cigars & Tell Tall Tales.

First soft launched in September 2023, Lure Cigars’ inaugural release is a Nicaraguan puro that features a Corojo Oscuro wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and fillers from Esteli, Ometepe, and Jalapa. Their packaging leaves the pretention on the shore and was designed with practicality and portability in mind. Each vitola comes in a package of ten that is wrapped with signature, heavyweight craft stock and packed in sealed wax with Boveda.

Lure Cigars initial release in five sizes:

  • “The Lil’ Tony” 5 x 50 robusto (MSRP $11.00)
  • “The Big Lou” 6 x 52 toro (MSRP $12.00)
  • “The BLT” (Big Lou Torpedo) 6 x 54 torpedo (MSRP $13.00)
  • “The Sir Gar” 7 x 48 churchill (MSRP $14.00)
  • “The Lunker” 6 x 60 gordo (MSRP $14.00)

“We offer the best possible cigar at an affordable price point. Whether cool morning casting, grabbing a quick cup of joe, sharing a lunch, celebrating landing the big one, or lighting one up while telling tall tales around the campfire…Lure Cigars has a size for you.” says Lou Cross III in a press release.
