Altadis U.S.A. has announced the release of the Montecristo 1935 Anniversary Edición Diamante. This highly anticipated follow-up to the Montecristo 1935 Anniversary Nicaragua will reach luxury humidors and retailer partners as early as May 2023.
Last year, the award-winning duo of AJ Fernandez and Rafael Nodal impressed critics and loyalists alike by earning a 95 rating and the 2021 #2 Cigar of the Year by Cigar Aficionado with the Montecristo 1935 Anniversary Nicaragua No. 2.
Fernandez and Nodal, both Cuban-born, took the task of creating the Montecristo 1935 Anniversary line very seriously. “This has been a very personal project for both of us for many reasons and the Montecristo 1935 Anniversary Edición Diamante is a cigar we are very proud of that uses very rare and expensive tobaccos,” says Nodal, who is Head of Product Capability at Tabacalera USA.
Like a diamond nurtured with time and then honed to perfection at the hands of skilled artisans, the Montecristo 1935 Anniversary Edición Diamante is a rare gem that will rival the best cigars in the world. The tobaccos used in the Edición Diamante are pure Nicaraguan and were specially selected based on unique characteristics that honor the origin of the iconic brand to deliver what the company calls the “diamond standard” of premium handmade cigars.
The Montecristo 1935 Anniversary Edición Diamante, manufactured at Tabacalera AJ Fernandez in Nicaragua, will be available 10-count boxes and have an MSRP range of $16.42 – $26.08.
