Meerapfel Companies has announced that the Création Liberté is now shipping to retail stores. Création Liberté is hand rolled exclusively in a 6 x 50 toro vitola. It uses the Meerapfel family’s signature “sacred leaf”, a vintage Cameroon wrapper. According to Meerapfel, the tobacco for this blend has been maturing for several decades in the Meerapfel vaults located in Europe. The binder and filler were not disclosed.
Each of the Création Liberté comes packaged in Paulownia-wood coffins, with each holding two cigars. Meerapfel says that Création Liberté is strictly limited to 613 coffins/1,226 cigars total. Country or origin and the factory where these are made has been undisclosed. Each cigar has an MRSP of $124.50, with this year’s proceeds will be donated to the Premium Cigar Association.
“Création Liberté is a unique Meerapfel cigar blend, honoring and funding the invaluable contribution of those who have and will join the efforts of protecting our industry and our rights,” says Reinhard Pohorec, Vice-President of Meerapfel Cigar.
