Lure Cigars Releases 2025 “The Last Cast”

June 21, 2025 By Matthew Tabacco

June is a particularly special month for Lure Cigars. It was Lou Cross Jr.’s birthday month, the celebration of Father’s Day, and the month he passed. This double-banded, tribute cigar features a toothy USA Connecticut Broadleaf maduro wrapper, over binder tobacco from Ometepe, with filler tobaccos from Esteli, Condega, and Ometepe, Nicaragua. This year’s release of “The Last Cast” is an elegant yet bold cigar, with a similar blend profile as previous, but is a slightly larger, slightly stronger, 6 x 54 toro. These cigars are presented in ten-count sealed wax packs, wrapped in heavyweight craft stock (in tuxedo black), and also include Boveda humidification.

This limited-edition annual release is available in one size:

“The Last Cast” 6 x 54 toro (MSRP $15.00/cigar) – Production limited to 4,500 cigars

With this second release of “The Last Cast”, we continue our commitment to offer the best possible cigars at an affordable price point. This Broadleaf blend was chosen for its popular and delicious flavor profile, offering notes of espresso, leather, dark fig, and baking spices. The allocated wrapper tobaccos were also selected for their attractive extra dark mahogany shade. “The Last Cast” is a full-bodied, celebratory smoke that you will want to make time to slow down, smoke intentionally, and reminisce about time well spent with family and friends, especially those that are no longer with us.

The “The Last Cast” 2025 will start shipping to retailers the week of June 25th, 2025. The factory that produced this year’s release is undisclosed.
