Lou Cross of Lure Cigars was approached by his friend and retail partner, Stephen Frank, with an idea: to create a cigar honoring Lt. Chris Watson — a dear friend, loyal customer, and devoted fan of Lure Cigars on the occasion of his retirement from the Dothan Police Department after 31 years of service and following his diagnosis with ALS. To honor Chris, it was decided to sell the entire run to raise money to help defeat ALS. All proceeds from the sales of this cigar are being donated to the Alabama Chapter of the ALS Association to support the development of promising therapies and research that will lead to a cure for this disease.
“The Bluefish” features a dark and flavorful Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper over a binder from Esteli and a selection of premium Nicaraguan and Mexican filler tobaccos, including Esteli, Jalapa, and San Andres ligero. The strength of this cigar is medium-full, and that power is matched in flavor. This cigar blend features notes of rich espresso, freshly tanned leather, pleasant baking spices, along with a bit of black pepper on the retrohale. This is a larger cigar that offers a lot of smoke and an incredible amount of flavor.
With this new release, we continue our commitment to offering the best possible cigars at an affordable price point. “The Bluefish” will be available August 2 nd at Boll Weevil Fine Cigars in Enterprise, AL, and The Humidor Fine Cigars in Dothan, AL. This cigar will be sold in 10 count packs,
