Lure Cigars Announces New Box Pressed Fish Sticks Line

May 20, 2025 By Matthew Tabacco

Lure Cigars has announced the release of “Fish Stix” – cigars that the company says land ‘Big Trophy Flavor in a Small Package.’

“Fish Stix” feature a Nicaraguan Habano 2000 wrapper over a thick ligero binder from Esteli and
a selection of premium Nicaraguan filler tobaccos, including Esteli, Jalapa, and Ometepe ligero. The
strength of this cigar is medium-full, and that power is matched in flavor. The company says that while it is a small vitola, it packs the same power as a much larger cigar.

Sticking to the fishing theme, Lure Cigars wanted to offer a smaller cigar that delivered on flavor for the quiet moments between casts, while on the go running errands, or between holes on the golf course.

“The idea for Fish Stix was developed last summer when we were testing blends from our Habano line. Initially released in a parejo format last year in limited quantity, the demand inspired us to move forward with the box press version that reminded us of the look of frozen fish sticks. The box press vitola also offers a slightly stronger profile with slightly less filler, and all the ligero kept in the blend,” says founder Lou Cross.

“The packs are designed for convenience and portability. Each five-pack of cigars is resealable and is the
perfect size to toss in your tackle box, center console, or golf bag,” Cross continued.

Fish Stix have an MSRP of $8.00, or $40 for a five-pack and will be limited to one size, a 4 1/4 x 46 box pressed Rothschild. Fish Stix will begin shipping this week on May 23rd.
