Latest Drew Estate Mystery Cigar Unveiled as Liga Privada H99 Papas Fritas

Drew Estate has become accustomed to their new system of unveiling new cigars through their freestyle live events. The latest one, which took place tonight, had them unveiling the latest mystery cigar as the new Liga Privada H99 Papas Fritas.

Originally debuting in 2018, it has been a big year for H99 as the Super Ancho (6 x 60 Gordo) was announced not too long ago plus a Robusto format earlier this year and a Flying Pig variant as well. Now, the small 4 1/2 x 44 size already used on the Liga Privada Unico Serie Papas Fritas will help round out the H99 which also includes the event only Phineas Gage lancero and the original 6 x 52 toro format.

“It’s a flavor bomb, it’s yet another expression of the Papas Fritas family, but this time with the coveted corojo hybrid wrapper that’s on the H99.” said Willy Herrera, master blender at Drew Estate.

The Liga Privada H99 is unique in that it uses a Connecticut Corojo wrapper with Mexican San Andreas binder and fillers from Honduras, Nicaragua and Pennsylvania. The company admitted it has been using left over scraps of tobacco from the production of the other sizes and decided not to let it go to waste, thus the idea for this cigar was born.

Drew Estate says that this new smaller vitola version of perhaps its most requested cigar will beginning shipping only to Drew Diplomat retailers next week. There is no MSRP at this time.
