Kafie 1901 announced the release of a new bundle line, ‘Naked Cigars by Kafie 1901’. These cigars are produced at the La Aurora Cigar Factory and contain 4 – 5 year aged premium tobacco set aside from their core line, creating “great smokes at a tremendous value” as stated in a press release.
This will be the only bundle line Kafie 1901 offers, and will create a unique category in their expanding portfolio of cigars. Dr. Gaby Kafie states, “in Spanish we have a saying, “que me busquen por bueno y no por barato” The English translation goes as follows, “That they look for us because we are good, not because we are cheap.” Although cigar bundles are typically considered budget sticks, the 4-5 year aged filler tobacco the cigars contain is aged and flavorful, making the blends more intriguing.
There will be three wrapper offerings:
- Ecuador Connecticut
- Habano Natural
- Habano Maduro
Filler tobacco will include a mixture of aged:
Dominican varieties, Mexico, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Honduras, Domincan Andullo, Ecuador Sumatra, Peruvian Pelo de Oro, and Nicaragua varietals.
Each wrapper offering will come in the following sizes:
- Robusto (5 x 50) MSRP $4.30 (per cigar) $86.00 (bundle of 20 cigars)
- Toro (6 x 52) MSRP $4.30 (per cigar) $86.00 (bundle of 20 cigars)
- Churchill (7 x 47) MSRP $4.50 (per cigar) $90.00 (bundle of 20 cigars)
- Gran Toro (6 x 58) MSRP $4.50 (per cigar) $90.00 (bundle of 20 cigars)
Production is limited to 90,000 cigars a year for 2024 due to the limited availably of tobaccos from the production of our premium cigars.
Kafie 1901 initially did a soft launch of these cigars with a few select retailers across the United States and overseas with Canteros in New Zealand. They are now doing a nationwide release and will feature them at the upcoming Total Products Expo 2024 and also at the 2024 PCA Trade Show.
