Today, Jonathan Carney informed Smokin Tabacco that he is no longer working for La Flor Dominicana and is leaving the cigar business.
“I’m looking forward to spending extended time with my family and focusing on independent projects.” said Jonathan when asked for a comment.
No other word on what caused the separation was mentioned.
One of the projects Jonathan will be working on is a new business venture called Shoulders of Giants.
Shoulders of Giants is a monthly newsletter, leadership think tank, and business development service. Their mission is to provide insights and resources for leadership and business development, helping leaders and business owners at all levels reach their full potential and make a positive impact in their organizations and communities. The company specializes in social media marketing, traditional marketing, and Artificial Intelligence integrations. They can be visited here.
Jonathan began working for La Flor Dominicana in 2011 where he began as a sales representative and quickly became the Vice-President of Sales two years later at the age of 29 in 2013. He has been one of the faces of the brand since then, outside of Litto and Tony Gomez, and was an integral part of many of their projects over the years. Jonathan says he plans to leave the cigar business to explore new opportunities that he is looking forward to sharing with us all in the future.
LFD released the following statement:
We regret to announce that Jonathan Carney, who has been an integral part of our team at La Flor Dominicana for many years, has departed from the company. We want to express our sincere gratitude to Jonathan for his dedication, commitment and significant contributions to LFD over the years, and we wish him all the best in his future endeavors.
As we look ahead, our primary focus remains on creating exceptional cigars that our customers have come to love and expect from us. Our commitment to quality and innovation will continue to guide our efforts into the future, and we are confident in our team’s ability to sustain the work that has established LFD as a trusted name in the cigar industry.
Sincerely,
Ines and Litto Gomez
