Gurkha Cigar Group has introduced a brand-new project called Fat Boy. To be honest at first glance, I thought this was going to be some sort of nod to the “Fat Man” and “Little Boy” atomic bombs used by the United States during World War II. Instead, the Gurkha Fat Boy is made in three different larger ring gauge sizes, where the brand gets its name from. These sizes are: 4 x 60, 5 x 66, and 6 x 66.

The Fat Boy’s first iteration will feature a Habano Wrapper. However, the binder and filler are undisclosed. Gurkha said these will be packaged in twenty-count boxes and are being made at an undisclosed factory in Nicaragua. The Gurkha Fat Boy is adorned with a cream-colored band, simply stating “Fat Boy” across the center.
“The Gurkha Fat Boy is a wonderful addition to our portfolio,” commented Jim Colucci, President of Gurkha Cigar Group. “Customers have been requesting a return of the larger ring gauges we used to carry, and we thought the Fat Boy is the perfect way to bring them back.”
Retail pricing on the Fat Boy includes $8.95 for the 4 x 60, $9.50 for the 5 x 66, and $9.95 for the 6 x 66. The three sizes are now available for retailers to add to their Gurkha portfolio worldwide.
