German Engineered Cigars announced last week the RVGN Extrem, a new premium longfiller blend and the latest addition to the company’s RVGN Rauchvergnügen line. The release coincides with the brand’s ten year anniversary, marking a decade since co-founders Jan Klaas Mahler and Oliver Nickels first brought their engineering-driven approach to the cigar industry in March 2016.
RVGN Extrem is a medium-bodied, hand-rolled longfiller cigar manufactured to German Engineered Cigars specifications by Intercigar in the Dominican Republic. It shares the Nürburgring-inspired universe of the original RVGN Rauchvergnügen — but where the original evokes a sunny morning on the legendary circuit, RVGN Extrem takes the experience to its limits.
Aromatic Experience: “Leading the race on Nürburgring, managing a wet track. Achtung Nordschleife!”
The cigar is a 6.25 x 52 toro and features an aged and highly sophisticated Mexican Cuban Seed wrapper, a Dominican Olor binder from the Jacagua zone (variety Carbonel), and a filler of Piloto Cubano and Criollo 98 grown in the Dominican Republic (Mao) and Nicaragua (Condega). RVGN Extrem will ship with GEC’s new NFC-enabled cigar ring — a tap of any smartphone identifies the cigar and links directly to its blend specifications, aromatic profile, serial number and production date. RVGN Extrem has an MSRP of $18 and will debut at the 2026 PCA Trade Show in New Orleans.
