On Friday, Garret Robinson announced that he has parted ways with Don Doroteo Cigars. Robinson was hired in January 2023 as the Vice-President of Sales, a role which is now said to be split. Josie Ortega and Justin Moore with split the role moving forward with Jose representing the west coast and Justin the east coast. They will also both be splitting the marketing director role.
In a post on Facebook, Robinson stated “It’s an overdue update. I have parted ways with Don Doroteo. I’m very grateful for the opportunity and learned a lot in a short period of time. I’m also grateful for amazing friends in the cigar industry who were resources of wisdom and counsel without hesitation. In my next chapter I’ll be doing some IT stuff and bringing sexy back.”
Robinson is also a founding member of fellow cigar media and podcast brand How Bout That Cigar with Matt Tye. He also was a broker for a short time just before going to work for Don Doroteo operating under the name Mid-West Provisions.
