Festival del Habano XXVI Postponed

February 13, 2026 By Matthew Tabacco

Festival Del Habano XXVI, the annual Habanos S.A. cigar festival in Havana, Cuba has been postponed.

The festival was scheduled to kick off in Havana on February 23rd and while Habanos S.A. hasn’t released an official statement, some of their distributors have informed customers of the news. This cancelation is likely due to reports that Cuba is set to run out of oil and gasoline in a matter of weeks, with airlines being shut down due to the lack of jet fuel available on the island. Air Canada announced earlier this week they would ground all flights to Cuba immediately.

Because of a lack of an official statement from Habanos S.A. it is also unclear if this will just be a postponement or ultimately a full cancelation. This is a developing story.
