Another $100+ cigar alert – El Septimo is celebrating its twentieth anniversary with the unveiling of the “Doble Gran Reserva” cigar. This cigar will debut at the 2025 PCA Show this April in New Orleans. While a traditional Grand Reserve denotes tobacco aged for five years, El Septimo says the Doble Gran Reserva will be aged between seven and ten years.
Once upon a time, Alexandra Younan took to social media to call some consumers “poor people” – I guess this cigar isn’t for them.
Blend specifics haven’t been announced however the company said in a press release that the cigar will use tobacco from the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Nicaragua, Honduras, and Costa Rica. Only 1,000 boxes of the Doble Gran Reserva will be produced for a single production run. Each box, containing fourteen toros (6 x 52 ). This limited edition will be distributed solely through the company’s top fifty retailers worldwide only. The Double Gran Reserva is priced at $125 per cigar and $1,750 per box.
