Steve Saka, owner of Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust, has been busy posting up a storm on Facebook this week about new releases he plans on debuting at the upcoming PCA 2024 Trade Show later this month. We already wrote a post discussing the Umbagog Bronzeback, but he also announced two additional products.
A few days ago he announced a Lancero sampler with not a lot of additional information. The collection will include ten different cigars with six different wrappers… and that’s about it. In true Steve Saka fashion, he states, “Nope, not going to tell anyone a damn thing about any of the blends because part of my joy will be derived from folks debating the L2 vs L6 vs L9 vs. etc, etc…”
Saka included the #GTYLANCEROCOLLECTION hashtag in his post, but it is unclear if that will be the actual name of the sampler. These are a limited-release and will be shipped in September/October of this year. There was no MSRP given at the time of this post.
Additionally, Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust will be releasing the Sin Compromiso No. 4. The Sin Compromiso line was initially launched in 2019 with 5 different vitolas, but they never included a Robusto size.
“When creating and blending Sin Compromiso I was never satisfied with the Robusto vitola. It always seemed a little off so when we launched the brand in 2019 I decided to just not include arguably the most popular format. This is how my perfectionist nature gets in the way of my dollars, but I figured I would work on it and introduce the robusto in 2020. Hmmm… this took a little longer than I had planned, but better right than timely. So after a five year delay it is with GREAT PLEASURE for me to introduce the Sin Compromiso No. 4,” explains Steve Saka.
The 5 x 54 cigar will be on display at the PCA 2024 Tradeshow, but won’t ship until May. No MSRP was given at the time of this post.
