DTT Expands International Distribution

September 9, 2022 By Matthew Tabacco

Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust has recently added Uniflame, SA in Greece to its growing list of International Cigar Distributors. “For us the focus has always been the cigars first and if we did that right, the sales would follow,” states Steve Saka, the founder and master ligador of DTT.

“We arguably have some of the least aggressive sales practices in the industry within the US market, yet we continue to grow astronomically. So much so, we have been forced three times over the last four years to enact temporary moratoriums on adding new accounts within the US to ensure both quality service and product to our existing customers.”

“Our approach has been even more lowkey and slower when it comes to International Distribution, yet that network also continues to grow. Between the Habanos restructuring and our own growth trajectory, we have been receiving numerous requests to expand our international footprint. I am very pleased that in conjunction with our factory and international distributor partners, Joya de Nicaragua, SA, we have been recently able to add Uniflame of Greece to our distribution family,” adds Saka.

DTT’s current International Distributors:

  • 3F Prague – Czech Republic and Slovakia

  • Al Kasra for Trading & Marketing – Jordan

  • Amaris Tobacco – Mexico

  • Cigraal – Hong Kong, Macao, China, Thailand, Singapore, Philippines, Indonesia

  • Cigar & Tobacco Italy – Italy

  • Cigar Hut (Raktos) – Australia

  • Cigarworld – Australia

  • Colonial Tabac – Spain

  • Cur Trader BV – Curacao Davidoff – Switzerland

  • J Van Horssen – Netherlands

  • Luxury Tobacco World – Bahrain

  • Media Rueda – Belgium and Luxembourg

  • Mel Caribbean Corp – Dominican Republic

  • Pasion Puro – Germany

  • Reality, Ltda – Brazil

  • San Luis Cigars – Venezuela

  • Sol Cigars – Norway

  • The Leaf Masters – United Arab Emirates

  • Uniflame – Greece

Saka continues, “As you can see, there are many great places around the globe we have yet to expand into, but we have never actively sought out “new world” distributors. We simply wait until they express an interest and then we go from there – for me this is not a sprint, but a marathon. That being said, I am truly looking forward to attending InterTabac 2022 in Dortmund, Germany this month. It will be my first trip to the EU in quite a while and I always immensely enjoy my time spent with our international partners, the team at Joya de Nicaragua and our mutual customers!”

In other DTT news, the Mi Querida Black “SakaKhan” has now shipped and will be available at your local DTT retailer. SakaKhan is a 7 1/4 x 54 double corona that will be the first cigar in the upcoming Mi Querida Black line. Expect more sizes and more availability next year. Steve will be on the Smokin Tabacco Show Thursday September 29th at 6 PM EST to talk all about the current happenings at DTT.
