Drew Estate Launches Undercrown 10 Flying Pig for International Markets

September 17, 2024 By Matthew Tabacco

Drew Estate expands globally with the international exclusive launch of the iconic Flying Pig size for the Undercrown 10th Anniversary expression.

A masterful and fun celebration, featuring a decade of Undercrown excellence, this cigar showcases Drew Estate’s signature craftsmanship and the unforgettable and inspirational UC story that has captivated cigar aficionados worldwide – “A Decade of Dedication.”

The Undercrown 10 Flying Pig features the renowned Mexican San Andrés Negro wrapper, expertly paired with a Connecticut Broadleaf binder and finally, a blend of select Brazilian Mata Fina and Nicaraguan Cuban seed filler tobaccos. The blend results in a bold yet smooth smoking experience, marked by sweet notes of coffee and spice, complemented by undertones of cream and earth. The distinct 3 15/16 x 60 Perfecto shape, known as the legendary Flying Pig is a true standout vitola.

Jonathan Drew, Founder and President of Drew Estate, from the Wynwood Safehouse says, “Undercrown is the cigar born from the hands and hearts of our factory floor. The Flying Pig vitola is a symbol of life’s rugged journey, and now added to our 10th year anniversary, A Decade of Dedication. If you love pizza, Mexican hot chocolate and walks in the rain, pina colada’s and such, we got you here, bruh.”

The Undercrown brand came to life in 2009 when Drew Estate’s torcedores were asked to smoke fewer Liga Privada cigars to meet the growing demand for exports. In response, the factory team created their own unique blend to enjoy for themselves, which ultimately became the Undercrown line.  UC has expanded beyond the original Maduro expression to include a Connecticut Shade expression as well. The Flying Pig size, with its short, plump shape, delivers an intense and concentrated burst of flavors from start to finish.
