Drew Estate Announces Exclusive for Casa de Montecristo, Liga Privada Unico Porchetta

November 13, 2023 By Nicole Tabacco

Drawing inspiration from the traditional Italian roasted pork dish, known for its rich layers and savory seasonings, this cigar is crafted to evoke a similar complexity in its flavor profile. Liga Privada Porchetta is exclusively available at Casa de Montecristo brick-and-mortar locations.

Jonathan Drew, Founder and President of Drew Estate, expressing his excitement about the new global offices of Drew Estate, proclaims, “Porchetta is a meaty, in-your-face, turbulent journey of flavor and aroma. It’s hard-hitting, yet smooth and meat-lovin-calculated at the very same time … kinda like a Larry Holmes jab to the dome … it’s not meant to knock you out. But damn, that was the thing about Holmes in his heyday … he could literally knock you out with a couple of jabs.  Nobody should get knocked out with a jab, really. This Porchetta is like a miniature Larry Holmes. My dad was a huge Larry Holmes fan, for the record.”

This cigar showcases a Connecticut River Valley stalk cut & cured habano wrapper that has undergone a thorough three-year fermentation. Beneath Porchetta’s deep, rich wrapper leaf lies a Brazilian Mata Fina binder and a multi-generational blend of Honduran and Nicaraguan fillers.

Presented in a 6 x 46 Box Pressed Belicoso size, this cigar is a feast for the senses, much like its namesake dish. The savory essence of the Porchetta, with its layered flavors, is mirrored in the cigar’s robust palate, offering enthusiasts an intricate, depth-driven smoking experience.
