Dissident Announces New Owners

December 21, 2021 By Matthew Tabacco

Oveja Negra Brands has announced today that cigar industry marketing veterans, authors, motivational speakers and serial entrepreneurs Cynn & Joshua Coburn have officially taken ownership of the Dissident cigar brand. Dissident Cigars and its revolutionary branding will toss tradition aside and bring grit, attitude, and a dash of rebellion to the cigar world. The Coburn’s long lived unconventional thinking and refusal to conformity will give rise to new and creative limited-edition cigars in 2022 and beyond.

We are told the Dissident core line is to remain unchanged while immediately moving the Rant, Rave, and Tirade from small batch to core line, joining fan favorites Soapbox and the bLoC.

Going against the grain and standing proud with their misfit personalities, taking ownership of the Dissident cigar brand was an easy decision for the Coburn’s, as the branding and name aligned perfectly with their core values and beliefs.

“We are all dissidents in some way, and we love to bring that to the forefront of our lives!” Says Cynn. “It’s nothing to be ashamed of. In fact, we celebrate it” she adds.

Be sure to catch Cynn Coburn on the road at Dissident events and in local lounges near you.

DISSIDENT is a boutique cigar brand for the next generation of premium cigar smokers! While utilizing traditional cigar making methods, Dissident is committed to bringing a new rebellious focus to boutique cigars and the individuals who enjoy them. ReVolt from the norm & stray from the herd, smoke Dissident.

Each line is hand-made by Fabrica Oveja Negra in Esteli, Nicaragua and is distributed by Oveja Negra Brands throughout the United States.
