September 9, 2023 By Matthew Tabacco

Davidoff announced yesterday the upcoming release of the Aniversario No. 1. Earlier this year, we saw the release of the Millennium lancero and Signature No. 1 limited editions in their respective lines. Now we have another joining the ranks. This is not a *new* cigar however.

Davidoff’s brand history is rich in exceptional cigar innovations and iconic achievements. One of those was the Aniversario No. 1, back in its day created to celebrate Zino Davidoff’s 80th birthday in 1986. As part of the brand’s captivating The Difference campaign, Davidoff Cigars re-rolls cigar history for the third time this year and surprises its loyal aficionados by bringing back a limited edition of the popular double corona. The majestic Davidoff Aniversario No. 1 Limited Edition.

The cigar comes in boxes of ten but the tenth cigar comes in a wooden tube, which has a throwback to the classic Anniversary design with a wreath like pattern below.

  • Wrapper: Ecuador Connecticut
  • Binder: Ecuador
  • Filler: Dominican
  • Size: 8 2/3 x 48 Double Corona
  • MSRP: $64 ea. – $640/Box
  • Box size: 10 – Count
  • Production: Limited to 6,500 boxes
  • Availability: October 2023

Davidoff says the cigar delights aficionados with balanced flavours of cedar wood, roasted nuts and fresh spice and is an ideal present for collectors around the world. With a remarkable enjoyment time of 140 minutes, the double corona offers appreciators of the cigar a unique opportunity to create new memories while reminiscing about moments past with this masterpiece. It also says it is a three out of five on its intensity scale.
