This morning, Crowned Heads unveiled a bold evolution for one its most beloved lines: Jericho Hill. As a part of a larger strategic rebrand, the full-bodied Nicaraguan cigar will now join other Crowned Heads brands including, Mil Días, La Imperiosa, Broadway, and Tennessee Waltz in a similar packaging configuration and presentation.
Introduced in 2014, Jericho Hill has been revered for its tribute to Johnny Cash’s rendition of “Cocaine Blues,” from his 1968 live album, “At Folsom Prison.”
The rebranding marks a significant milestone for Crowned Heads as the company refines its portfolio to better resonate with a generation of new cigar enthusiasts, and to have a more distinctive presence at the retail level.
“For me, Jericho Hill has always been more than a cigar,” commented Crowned Heads President & Co-Owner, Jon Huber. “It’s an homage to an iconic American musician, and a narrative of redemption and rebellion. The inspiration for the blend was t o create a riff on a classic well-known, ultra-premium cigar, that I won’t mention by name, and to produce
something of equal quality at a more approachable price. It’s our hope that the new branding
will create more interest and encourage trial for Jericho, as I’ve always believed it’s one of the
best blends in our portfolio. While the packaging levels-up the presentation significantly, the
blend remains unchanged. It’s a fresh chapter for Jericho Hill, but the smoke remains a s
potent and unforgettable as ever.”
Crafted at My Father Cigars S.A. factory in Esteli, Nicaragua, Jericho Hill is available in three sizes: OBS (4 3/4″ × 52), Willy Lee (6″ × 54), and Jack Brown (5″ x 56), and is packaged in 21-count cabinet boxes. The new rebranded Jericho Hill will begin shipping this week.
