Crowned Heads to Introduce Moonflower at PCA 2026

March 21, 2026 By Matthew Tabacco

Crowned Heads is rolling out a new line called Moonflower, its first all-new regular production brand developed in collaboration with My Father Cigars in over ten years. The new brand will make its global debut at the upcoming 2026 PCA Convention and Trade Show to be held in New Orleans next month.

This landmark release marks a significant milestone in the longstanding relationship between Crowned Heads and the Garcia family at My Father Cigars, the renowned Nicaraguan factory behind many of Crowned Heads most celebrated lines, including Las Calaveras, Tennessee Waltz, La Imperiosa, and Jericho Hill.

“Moonflower is more than just a new blend,” commented Crowned Heads President, Jon Huber, “it’s a celebration of partnership, tradition, and holds a deeply personal symbolic meaning to me, as well. We’ve poured everything into creating something truly special: a cigar that delivers complexity, balance, beauty, and that unmistakable ‘wow’ factor our supporters expect from Crowned Heads.”

Moonflower is a carefully curated Nicaraguan puro blend, highlighted by a double binder (Esteli, Jalapa), fillers from three different regions (Esteli, Jalapa, Condega), and a dark Corojo wrapper. The cigar opens big with a solid core of white pepper and spice notes, gradually blossoming into a multi-layered profile defined by flavors of cream, cedar, and nuts. This medium-plus bodied cigar masterfully balances sweet cream and spice notes, and closes with a clean, mint-like finish. The presentation evokes the mysterious beauty of the moonflower plant which blooms only under the night sky.

Crowned Heads Moonflower will be available in three classic vitolas: Corona Gorda (6″ × 46), Robusto (5″ × 52), and Toro (6″ × 54). The cigars will be packaged in 21-count cabinet boxes, and will carry a suggested retail price range of $11.95-$13.50 per cigar. Manufactured at My Father Cigars S.A. in Esteli, Nicaragua, shipping will begin at the beginning of May.
