Crowned Heads has announced its fifth limited edition extension to the highly acclaimed Mil Dias brand. The cigar is being called the Mil Dias Marranitos E648 LE 2023, which is quite the long name.
Marranitos E648 uses the original Mil Dias binder and filler tobaccos however, like the Marranitos 2022, it will use an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper. “Marranitos E648 is a nod to the man behind Mil Dias, Radio Pichardo,” explained Crowned Heads co-founder Jon Huber.
“I had another Marranitos release on the docket for 2023 and I asked Radio what his favorite vitola was, which turned out to be a classic 6 1/8 x 48. Unfortunately, the second half of last year saw a lot of misconceptions and confusion surrounding the Mil Dias brand, and as a result intentionally took our foot off the gas on expanding the line. The Mil Dias Marranitos E648 is our way of saying that Mil Dias is not changing, and that we are excited to continue working with Eradio Pichardo and his team at TacaNicsa.”
First launched in September 2020, Mil Dias is a four size cigar brand that rapidly rose to prominence among cigar enthusiasts around the world. It has received many accolades and acclaim for its very distinct flavor profile. The brand language is an intersection of modern luxury and old world tradition. Mil Dias is a brand where heritage converges with the future, blurring the lines between history and modern, Cuba and Central America.
Production will be limited to 2,500, twelve count boxes for a total production of 30,000 cigars and is manufactured at TacaNicsa in Esteli, Nicaragua by Radio Pichardo. Mil Dias Marranitos E648 will have an MSRP of $12.50 per cigar and will ship in early April.
