Crowned Heads has announced that they will be releasing the first Four Kicks Lancero since 2018 this year with the Capa Especial Lancero LE 2022. The 2018 Lancero was known as the Four Kicks Maduro Lancero. Unbeknownst to many cigar smokers, the Lancero was created and first rolled at the El Laguito factory in Havana, Cuba back in the sixties. For those who don’t know, this is where the famous Cuban Cohiba brand is made by Habanos S.A. This cigar would become known as Laguito No. 1 in Cuban cigar factories. Today, the Lancero is holds a reputation of one of the more elegant sizes and holds a very cult following from the small number of manufacturers that do make them.
“We’re extremely excited to bring the Capa Especial Lancero to market,” says Crowned Heads co-founder Jon Huber. “The lancero is such a storied vitola and it’s been absent from our portfolio for over four years; it’s an exquisite expression of the Four Kicks Capa Especial blend.”
Originally introduced in the Spring of 2020, Four Kicks Cap Especial has garnered not only a global following, but numerous industry accolades as well. The Four Kicks Capa Especial Lancero (7 1/2″ x 38) will be packaged in twelve count boxes with a total production limited to 2,500 boxes with an MSRP of $11.95 per cigar. Manufactured at Tabacalera La Alianza S.A. in the Dominican Republic, it will be produced under the watchful eye of Ernesto Perez-Carrillo. Four Kicks Capa Especial will ship in October.
