Created to honor veterans and first responders, the limited edition Battleborn stands as a tribute to service, sacrifice, and resilience. The inspiration came from Lionel H. McKoy, a U.S. Navy veteran and long-time member of the Casa Carrillo family, whose two decades of military service and dedication embody the spirit behind the line.
“Battleborn is about respect — rolled into every leaf,” said Ernesto Perez-Carrillo Jr. “It’s our way of recognizing those who protect, serve, and endure for the sake of others.”
The Battleborn Warriors (6 x 56 Toro Gordo) features a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper over dual binders from Mexico and Nicaragua, with Nicaraguan fillers, resulting in a rich, full-bodied profile. Only 2,500 individually numbered boxes of twenty cigars were produced, each including a Battleborn-logoed dog tag. MSRP is $22 per cigar or $440 per box. Shipping begins this week in advance of Veterans Day Nov. 11th.
Casa Carrillo will host Battleborn events nationwide in collaboration with retailers, with proceeds benefiting charities that support veterans and first responders. The debut event took place on September 20 at Finck’s Lone Star Cigar Bash in San Antonio, Texas, where Casa Carrillo donated $6,000 from box sales to the Fisher House Foundation.
“Through Carrillo Cares, we’ve always believed our cigars should do more than deliver great flavor,” said Lissette Perez-Carrillo. “They should give back to those who’ve given so much. Supporting veterans and first responders is an honor that continues to inspire us.”
Alongside Battleborn, Casa Carrillo is releasing the limited production Endure Corona Gorda (6 x 46) — a new vitola in the acclaimed Endure series. The cigar features a wrapper leaf grown in Cameroon by the Meerapfel family, one of the most respected names in African tobacco cultivation. This prized wrapper complements a blend that continues the Endure series’ legacy of strength, character, and persistence.

Boxes contain ten cigars. MSRP is $18 per cigar or $180 per box.
