An Update Regarding Our CFCF Fundraiser for 2025

March 4, 2025 By Matthew Tabacco

Hello Everyone,

I wanted to take a minute to write something and put it out there regarding our 2025 Cigar Family Charitable Foundation fundraiser. Over the past four years, we have been blessed to work with one of the most recognized and respected charity organizations in the cigar industry. Together, all of you have helped raise well over $100,000 for the children and families of the Bonao community in the Dominican Republic.

The Newman and Fuente families have taken such care to make sure this community is getting absolutely as much as they can for a better life. In 2022, Nicole and I went to the CFCF campus and met these kids and were truly blown away. I urge anyone who is ever offered the invitation to humbly accept and go see for yourself, it will change your life.

Putting this fundraiser together isn’t easy, it can be very tolling with the amount of logistics it takes to properly operate. We do it anyway out of love and support of the cause. However, there are times when you need to take a step back and evaluate your life. Unfortunately, we recently found out our daughter will need surgery in April when this event is usually at its peak. Along with the PCA trade show and many other commitments we have on top of that, I have made the unfortunate decision to skip this year’s fundraiser as all of our extra time will be needed to help our daughter recover from hip surgery. I apologize to those who were looking forward to participating and to the Fuente and Newman families who rely on donations to help fund this amazing cause. We will be back, but right now we need to focus on our family. I hope you all understand.

Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions or concerns. I encourage everyone to make personal donations that they would have made through our event directly to Cigar Family Charitable Foundation here. In addition, Nicole and I want to personally thank everyone who has reached out regarding Anastasia and sent their love and support. We couldn’t do any of this without any of you.
