Alec Bradley Cigar Company’s Alan, Alec and Bradley Rubin spilled the beans on the upcoming release of Double Broadleaf- Experimental Series to Cigar Aficionado Executive Editor, David Savona and an intimate crowd of ‘All Access’ ticket holders during Cigar Aficionado Big Smoke Meets WhiskyFest’s ‘A Family Affair: The Alec Bradley Story’ Cigar Seminar, at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Hollywood, FL on May 28. Alec Bradley Double Broadleaf- Experimental Series is the third project in the company’s Experimental Series and the first full cigar line Alec Bradley release since 2020’s Project 40 Maduro. Presented in luxurious dual tone green and natural wood 24-count boxes, the five-size cigar line will be showcased to tobacconists attending the Premium Cigar Association (PCA) Trade Show, July 8-12, 2022, at the Sand Convention Center in Las Vegas, NV.

Alec Bradley’s Experimental Series is rooted in the company’s passion for innovation, and Double Broadleaf is no exception. Fascinated by agronomy, company Founder, Alan Rubin asked a premium cigar industry friend for some seeds of coveted Connecticut Broadleaf tobacco to plant in the rich soils of Honduras. After years of arduous testing, this amazing tobacco is ready to use and has been blended by Alan and his sons, second generation cigarmakers- Alec and Bradley- to create Alec Bradley Double Broadleaf- Experimental Series.

“Alec, Bradley and I wanted to create a cigar spotlighting the beautiful Broadleaf wrapper we grew,” Alan said. “As we blended though, we all craved more of that bold, rich flavor that Broadleaf imparts, so we doubled-down and added a Broadleaf binder leaf to the blend- which also led to the name: Double Broadleaf.”

Alec Bradley Double Broadleaf- Experimental Series is described by the company as full bodied, and the blend was created to go beyond the flavor boundaries of the brand’s current portfolio. In addition to the proprietary Broadleaf wrapper and Broadleaf binder, the blend is completed by an additional binder leaf from Nicaragua, all atop filler tobaccos from Honduras and Nicaragua. Alec Bradley Double Broadleaf- Experimental Series will debut at the PCA 2022 Trade Show and will be available to tobacconists for pre-order in the following sizes, with the corresponding MSRP’s:
