Arturo Fuente Releasing New OpusX Forbidden X Templo de Oro

December 24, 2025 By Matthew Tabacco

Earlier this month, Carlos “Carlito” Fuente Jr. told us about a new Forbidden X cigar that would be shipped out for the holidays called the Templo de Oro, which is Spanish for “Golden Temple”.

Fuente said he wasn’t sharing many details about the cigar but did confirm that it will feature a light and mild wrapper, perhaps the mildest wrapper to be used on an OpusX to date. Quantities are expected to be very limited, as is standard with most of the OpusX lines.

In a Facebook post, Carlito wrote today, “Surprise!!! Surprise!!! The never seen before closely kept secret, The FORBIDDEN❌ TEMPLO de ORO “Age of Gold” with their golden wrappers, is arriving to cheer up the Holidays in Fuente fashion, always saving the best for last. We try hard to deliver that extra special surprise to the brick and mortar tobacconists and you, our much appreciated extended family to celebrate our marvelous journey in life together. Wishing everyone blessed and wonderful Holidays, Merry Christmas and much health, love and happiness throughout the New Year. My love and appreciation to all!”

Expect to see these at stores within the next two weeks.
