At PCA 2023, one of the cigars we saw from Oliva was the Serie V Melanio Edicion Ano 2023. For those of you who have been waiting for these you are in luck, they arrive in stores this week all over the world.
This cigar was formerly only available in the previous special Elie Bleu humidor that Oliva released back in 2021. It also used to be only available outside of the US meaning this time would be the first time it is available here. Each of those contained 95 cigars with 21 of them being exclusive only to the humidor which were these. Now, they will be available on their own. These were previously released solo last year as well however in a much smaller quantity.
Oliva Serie V Melanio Edicion Ano 2023 is a 5 1/2 x 52 double perfecto. The blend is the same as the standard blend of the Melanio Serie V, Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper with binder and filler from Nicaragua. It also has the name Figuriños, which the cigar might actually be called. In addition, the core Melanios are box pressed and these are not. There is a total production of 14,500 boxes of 10 cigars each with an MSRP of $20 per cigar.
