2021 Cigar of the Year #3: Rocky Patel “SIXTY” Toro

December 22, 2021 By Matthew Tabacco

When I first smoked this cigar a few months ago when it landed, I knew right away it was going to be a huge contender for cigar of the year across all lists and media outlets. We have been talking about it ever since on both shows. The fact of the matter is, there were many other great cigars released this year and it was very hard to rank them all.

Rocky has had his hands full the last few years with the Cigar Smoking World Championship, ALR 2, and keeping up with his BURN lounges. To say the least it has been a good few years for RP. SIXTY comes in and puts the icing on the cake. Not to mention the fact that it’s name comes from the celebration of Rocky’s Sixtieth birthday.

SIXTY is very complex and flavorful while be consistent and smooth. It’s high quality gives you that sense of ultra premium when you are smoking it, the same you might find from Davidoff or Padron. It features a Mexican San Andreas wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and filler. It also receives a post roll age of two years.

The cigar we selected being a box-pressed 6 1/2 x 52 Toro, is also offered in two other box-pressed vitolas as well, a 6 x 60 Gordo and a 5 1/2 x 50 Robusto. This cigar carry’s an MSRP of $17 of us available in a box of 20 for $340. Rocky Patel also released a humidor of this cigar which contains 100 Toros and retails for $2,500. Look for these at your local brick and mortar retailer today.
