La Flor Dominicana Refreshes Suave Line for PCA 2025

April 7, 2025 By Matthew Tabacco

Litto and Ines Gomez began their cigar journey in 1994 with a traditional Dominican blend named Premium Line. Mild and smooth, it consisted of Dominican fillers and binder adorned by a Connecticut Shade wrapper. That blend, now known as Suave, has always been a part of LFD.

Now, after thirty years of growth and refinement, Suave has been boldly reimagined using the knowledge and experience earned over three decades. The spirit of the original blend lives on, though now applied with a more developed hand.

Litto Gomez said about the new Suave, “We sat down and asked ourselves, if we could go back to day one knowing everything we know now, what would this cigar have been? What would it look like? And then we got to work.”

Suave is a full-flavor, mild-to-medium bodied blend. It comes in two wrapper expressions and five sizes, all in boxes of twenty. Both versions have been re-blended while maintaining the original vitolas and names.

Like the blends, Suave’s packaging has also undergone a powerful change. Tony Gomez said, “It’s bright and bold yet classic, it symbolizes the joie de vivre at the core of LFD. I compare it to the smooth joy and elegance of trotting through our farm on a Paso Fino horse while enjoying a beautiful cigar.”
