La Aurora to Re-Release Especiales with the Premium Cigar Association

September 6, 2025 By Matthew Tabacco

La Aurora has announced it will re-launch Especiales in the U.S. in partnership with the Premium Cigar Association (PCA) for its Fall Fundraiser, as its origins are rooted in the feedback of over 100 retailers who visited and worked directly with our Master Blender Manuel Inoa to bring this product to life.

“This is a very special product for me because it represents our commitment to U.S. retailers and our desire to craft products that not only stay true to our roots in the Dominican Republic but represent the growing and changing palates of U.S. cigar aficionados,” comments Iturbides Zaldivar, Director of Sales & Marketing at La Aurora.

The blend for the La Aurora Especiales was developed after Manuel Inoa, La Aurora’s master blender, sought the input of more than 100 cigar retailers. After six years of experimenting, Inoa was able to develop the ideal blend. The results? A medium bodied cigar with a gorgeous, luscious, reddish Ecuadorian Cameroon wrapper placed over a Dominican binder and filler leaves from the USA and the Dominican Republic.

“This is the second year that we are launching a major collaboration at our fall fundraiser, and we are very proud of the company we are collaborating with and the product itself. Over the past year the PCA team has worked with La Aurora on an Alliance exclusive cigar and they are hosting our pairing as part of the FIU Luxury Marketing Class this November. This is another win-win for both La Aurora, the association, and our retail membership” says Joshua Habursky Chief Executive Officer of the Premium Cigar Association.

La Aurora Especiales will be available in the following formats:

  • La Aurora Especiales Robusto (5 x 50) — MSRP: $13.50
  • La Aurora Especiales Toro (5 3/4 x 54) — MSRP: $14.50
  • La Aurora Especiales Corona Gorda (6 x 47) — MSRP: $14
  • La Aurora Especiales Gran Toro (6 x 58) — MSRP: $15

Those attending this year’s PCA Fall Fundraiser on Sept. 11 will have a chance to try this cigar as part of an exclusive pairing during the event (buy tickets here). Following the fundraiser, it will ship to retailers in October with $0.50 from each cigar sold will be donated to the PCA to further support its mission to protect and advocate for specialty tobacco retailers and manufacturers of the premium cigar industry.
