Many Arturo Fuente or more specifically Opus X aficionados may know of the Opus X 2020, sometimes referred to as “Dubai” since it was release in 2020 as an exclusive for the United Arab Emirates. Some retailers have had these in the past few years but have been selling them secondhand. This year, Arturo Fuente announced they will be sending these cigars to US retailers as a one time deal as an extra bonus for the holidays.
In a letter sent out on Friday, the company stated:
“In gratitude for your unwavering support during the year as an authorized Fuente Fuente OpusX retailer, and to bring our fans to your store, we are releasing some extremely rare and unique cigars. The Fuente Fuente OpusX 2020, also known by aficionados as the ‘Opus Dubai,’ will be a very special treat for your customers. This is the one and only time I think we will release these cigars in the United States.” says Carlos “Carlito” Fuente Jr.
Opus X 2020 comes in twenty count ornate dress boxes, very similar to the 20th and Forbidden X boxes, albeit with the red, white and green colors for the UAE. There are three sizes; Arena d’Amor (5 x 52), Sol d’Amor (6 x 55), and Viento d’Amor (6 x 58). All of which are made at Tabacalera A. Fuente y Cia in the Dominican Republic. Like all other Opus X cigars, they are Dominican Puros. Fuente has not released pricing information on these.
